Founded in 2005 by dance artists Kate Franklin and Kate Holden. Inspired by mentor Kate Alton, they were motivated to create a company to commission new works from talented independent Canadian choreographers, and to take artistic control over their own careers. Franklin and Holden are interested in growing as artists, pushing the standard of excellence in contemporary dance in Toronto and giving their chosen collaborators a positive creative working environment.
Through our commissions we strive to produce work that is thoughtful, transparent and honest. Powerful in its ability to communicate and clear in its kinetic language, our repertoire is engaging and inspiring.
